Kdb Java Programmer – HFT FX recruitment
Skills: Kdb, Java, Q, ideally some Flex
The Opportunity:
You will join a fast paced High Frequency FX Algo Trading desk as a Kdb/Java Developer. The business is not just highly successful but is also enjoying significant growth and therefore is increasing the IT capability to support the build out of new products, strategies and and strategic initiatives. It will suit someone who is not only enthusiastic about technology but who also has keen interest in the business and a desire to learn. The team is relatively flat in structure and they need someone who is able to take ownership of a project and run with it, liaising directly with the desk.
Even if the you have some limited Kdb experience that is fine, strong technical orientation and a willingness to learn is key. The perfect candidate may have also had some exposure to Flex as there is a small amount GUI work, however this is not a priority, strong multi-threaded Java Kdb are the key skills. You may have worked across any business unit, either a bank or hedge fund. There are plenty of prospects for the right candidate, with unparallelled access to the desk, working shoulder to shoulder with the Quant Traders. Not an opportunity to be missed.
