Main Function

Maintain and extend and the current KDB Reporting infrastructure, including the continued support and build out of the reporting project.
The ideal candidate will fit into the team and the current code base, make it their own, and use this as a base to be able to design and develop new components. This will include ongoing re-implementations of current q code, extensions thereof and ongoing support of those systems.
Take ownership and contribute to the reporting infrastructure built around KDB, written in Flex, Java and Q.
Build out complex reports in Q that will ultimately be distributed to the business.

Analysis, Design, Development, Testing and Deployment

Architect solutions to problems both tactical and strategic as the business requires it.
Work closely with the business users to understand requirements and deliver high quality Q code
Provide estimates for tasks, including design, development and testing
Extend and support the low-latency database system to meet the business requirements
Supporting the implementation of new code releases
