Are you passionate about mobile app development and helping third party developers to build breakthrough customer experiences? Do you love solving hard technical problems? Would you like to help build world-class apps for Kindle? If so, join the Kindle team as a Technical Evangelist. You will be working with some of the top names in the Android and mobile development space to help them develop incredible apps for Kindle that will wow customers. In this role, you will combine your unbridled enthusiasm and aptitude for mobile apps with your unmatched ability to build relationships with key industry influencers. You must have hands-on experience with mobile app development, along with experience with Android and games - ideally both! Your broad responsibilities will include owning technical engagements and ultimate success around specific implementation projects. You will also be responsible for documenting best practices that can be used by other developers. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer facing skills that will allow them to represent Amazon well within our customer?s environment and drive discussions with senior technical leaders, as well as a technical background that enables them to easily interact and give guidance to software developers and architects. They should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges. Roles Responsibilities: Drive developer engagements to help them deliver world-class applications for Kindle. Assist third-party app developers as they build applications that take advantage of Kindle devices and services. Foster the Kindle developer community by engaging with developers in online forums, writing technical articles, and speaking at developer conferences and meetups. Establish yourself as an expert on the Kindle and the Amazon SDKs. Serve as a key member of the Business Development and Developer Relations team in helping to ensure customer success in building applications and services on the Kindle platform. Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the developer community. Provide ongoing support for developers. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a BS in computer science or equivalent technical degree. 3-5 years of hands on coding experience. Deep knowledge of Mobile app development and Android. Possess a minimum of 5-7 years of implementation/consulting/evangelism experience. Experience working with producers or developers in the Games category is highly desired. Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations. Other qualifications include a track record of complex and creative problem solving, relationship management, and the desire to create and build new processes.
