Macquarie Equipment Leasing is a division of CAF that is focused on the Leasing and Vendor Finance sectors specialising in providing operating lease solutions for technology, health care and hard assets.
As part of the continued growth strategy of the business, we are now seeking an experienced Leasing and Asset Finance professional to join our rapidly growing business in Malaysia.
Specific responsibilities of this role include:
- Developing our corporate client network. It is envisaged the candidate would have strong existing relationships
- Achieving challenging sales targets in the corporate markets.
- Providing sophisticated tailored asset finance solutions to a wide range of clients developed directly.
- Generating new business through innovative strategies.
- Negotiating deal terms and assisting with the ongoing management of existing clients.
- Liaising with the operations team for client management.
- Pre-qualifying new customers from a credit perspective prior to handing over to the credit team.
The successful candidate will:
- Have a proven business development record in a commercial, corporate or government market place.
- Be a self starter with a natural talent to influence, negotiate, sell and build rapport at various levels.
- Have tertiary qualifications with the drive to succeed in a competitive market.
- Have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Have a strong knowledge of the legal and regulatory requirements of doing business in Malaysia.
- Have a good working knowledge of documentation and risk assessment.
- Have the ability to quickly grasp the fundamental concepts and create appropriate selling strategies.
- 5-10 years experience in Asset Finance and Leasing preferred but other candidates familiar with the industry are encouraged to apply.
