KYC Manager (Reviews) –Market Leading Bank - £65,000 - £75,000

One of the market leading corporate investment banks is looking to add a KYC manager to their existing Reviews team.

The Company:

As one of the world’s leading corporate investment banks this institution offers a range of financial services. They facilitate a large client base which spans multiple jurisdictions cementing a respected a widely known global footprint. They have a healthy compliance culture across all 3 lines of defence and are looking to add a KYC Reviews Manager who will support the bank’s core cultural beliefs.

The Role:

The position will require a KYC SME coupled with a strong man manager. As a team you will be conducting periodic reviews on KYC files to ensure the bank remains compliant. The main focuses of the function will be on High Risk clients that require more regular refresh than other Low to Medium risk clients.

• Advising the businesses on all KYC issues that occur from a result of periodic reviews.
• Lead a team of 6-10 people through all KYC periodic reviews.
• Conduct 4-eye checks on all files to ensure the bank remains compliant with all High Risk Customers.
• Redefine and develop a strong framework to ensure all High Risk customer reviews are undertaken correctly, identifying any potential PEP’s
• Ensure the team is up to date with all regulatory changes set out by the FCA.
o Concurrently also reacting to all ‘negative news’.
• Liaise with senior stakeholders in the businesses, relaying all relevant results from KYC reviews.
• Strong relationship management with the front office team, ensuring that the correct and full due diligence is undertaken.
• Ensure that all files are undertaken on an end to end basis.

The Ideal Candidate:

As a senior manager within the bank you will be required to be a SME for KYC. Given this
you will need to be a strong leader with excellent communication skills. This will include liaison with members of your own team, senior figures within the bank, clients and those within front office. Further requirements will include;

• A well rounded and experienced individual within KYC from the financial services, 4+ years’ experience would be beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral in order to liaise with all relevant stakeholders.
• A strong knowledge of different complex entity types.
• Up to date and comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements.
