KYC Ops Risk & Control (AVP)

This team completes due diligence to ensure all new Legal Entities to the bank are onboarded in compliance with the Bank's Anti-Money Laundering Policies, as well as any local jurisdictional Regulatory policies and procedures.

The main function of the role is to ensure controls are effectively designed, providing assurance that controls are operating correctly and that risks are well understood.

Core Responsibilities:

*Support the CIB KYC Risk and Control Manager in building out the controls framework across the Know Your Customer and Tax Documentation teams as follows:

*Be an active participant in the build-out of the future Risk and Control team structure and building global consistency and support.

*Partner with the functional managers to create process flow diagrams, tasks and procedures that focus on controls.

*Act as liaison between line managers and audit and conformance review teams on testing of controls and regulatory requirements.

*Be an active participant in the Global Risk and Control forum including documenting and distributing meeting notes and actions.

*Partner with the functional managers to accurately and timely report incidents and identify remediation plans.

*Support the semi-annual Risk Control Self Assessment across KYC and annual business aligned Risk Control Assessments.

Person Requirements:

*Risk Control background - performing RCSA's, control reports, procedure reports, rolling out risk framework, etc (essential).

*Understanding of the KYC processes.

*Demonstrated ability to develop effective work relationships (including senior management, internal peers, and external third parties)

*A strong understanding of the importance of rigorous controls environment.

*Strong MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint Skills.

*Strong analytical skills.

*Self motivated and highly driven individual.

*Ability to effectively time manage and prioritize multiple requests and deadlines.

*Strong verbal and written communication skills.

*Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
