Current Need

The position of Laboratory Sales Executive has recently become available within the Enterprise Medical Imaging Sales Team.

McKesson¿s Lab Solutions are among the Laboratory Information System market's leading solutions with the scalability to fit the requirements from a large enterprise, complex clinical reference laboratory as well as office based labs. McKesson¿s Lab Solutions provide the most advanced workflow and reporting tools for the clinicians and technicians with user friendly interfaces to a host of diagnostic equipment.

McKesson¿s Lab Solutions are a complete workflow management system (LIS) and/or modules that provide an easy experience for scheduling, reporting, tracking and managing patients, exams, supplies and improve the administrative and clinical workflow of all laboratory departments in all sizes of hospital enterprises and clinics.

Position Description

The Lab Sales Executive is responsible for all Laboratory solutions sales activity at all levels in the client organization.

Essential Position Functions:

Lead the sales process and drive to closure net new opportunities to achieve 100% of assigned quota.

Complete blue sheets, close plans, and conduct internal deals reviews

Effective utilization of company/tradeshow events

Orchestrates utilization of Product Consultants and Solution Architects¿.

Manages the contracting process to assure successful outcomes.

Capabilities required:

Ability to knowledgeably speak with prospects and clients about our full suite of Laboratory solutions.

Understanding of Laboratory administrative and clinical workflow

Skill to successfully navigate the various Lab based departments; including Blood Bank, Microbiology and Anatomic Pathology departments.

Minimum Requirements

Travel: 60-80% overnight travel required

Minimum 3-5+ years successful lab sales experience to hospitals and clinical reference labs.

3+ years new business sales experience

3+ years sales with large healthcare facility experience

Experience managing long sales cycles, high-level sales, and large quotas

Tenacity and the ability to not take no for an answer.

Ability to break down barriers in order to locate and/or create revenue opportunities.

Expertise at creating sales strategies to match operating strategies for hospitals

Knowledge of sales territory management (Siebel experience a plus)

Strong negotiation, conflict management customer service skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple, diverse projects and sales events simultaneously.

Knowledge of current information systems technology and of healthcare industry and trends.

Proficient in strategic sales account planning skills.

Ability to demonstrate consistent closing techniques throughout the sales cycle.

Exceptional presentation skills required.

Exceptional communication skills including written communication through clear and concise messaging.

Education

Requires a Bachelor's Degree
