LAB TECHNICIAN
We currently have a full-time, hourly, position. Some overtime required with participation in weekend and holiday rotation. This position will perform laboratory tests on finished products, plant samples and ingredients in a timely and accurate manner to assure that Cabot quality standards are met.
The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Science or Math. Applicants must possess three to five years of prior lab experience and the ability to mentor other Lab Technicians. Basic math skills and the ability to work easily with numbers and maintain complete and accurate records are required. The ability to be certified by the State of Vermont to perform standard plate count, antibiotic testing, and somatic cell counts. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary. Must have mature judgment abilities. The ability to complete multiple projects within deadlines while performing assigned lab duties is required. In addition, an advanced computer skill including Windows, Excel and Word is essential.
