Labor Relations Manager Type: FULL TIME Location: Jackson, MI and Toledo, OH Region OmniSource, one of North America s largest scrap metals recyclers is seeking a Labor Relations Manager. The company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Steel Dynamics (STLD), has more than 2500 employees throughout the Midwest and Southeast. Nearly 400 employees in four locations are represented by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, UAW, or the United Steelworkers of America throughout IN, OH, and MI. Headquartered in either the Company s Jackson, MI or Toledo, OH facilities, in order to carry out the responsibilities of the position, overnight travel will be necessary. The right candidate must have extensive experience in employee relations, grievance and arbitration procedures, familiarity with collective bargaining agreements, and labor law. The individual, in concert with corporate, will function as the lead negotiator in the collective bargaining process. He/she will interact with all levels of employees within OmniSource as well as its Steel Dynamics parent. Additional requirements: excellent communication skills- verbal and written, strategic thinking and problem solving, and multi-tasking. A four year college degree in a related field is preferred.
