Position Description
We have an immediate opening for a highly motivated professional to perform analysis and manage the Polarized Light Microscopy, Phase Contrast and Indoor Air Quality Laboratories at our Holt, Michigan headquarters. The successful candidate will be responsible for hiring, training, client interaction, management of workload, report review and approval, client development, sample analysis and NVLAP accreditation.
Position Requirements
- Successful candidate must have a history of performing analysis and be intimately familiar with Polarized Light Microscopy using EPA Method 600/M4-82-020, Method 600/R-93/116, Gravimetric Reduction, Phase Contrast Microscopy using the NIOSH 7400 Method and impaction sample analysis using current industry standards.
- Familiarity with National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) PLM lab accreditation requirements and those of the International Standards Organization is required.
- Formal training required (McCrone Research Institute training or MICA)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented individual
- Valid driver’s license and a clear driving record
- Must have authorization to work in the U.S.
This position is primarily a laboratory position, but will require occasional field sampling as well.
