VisionGate produces the Cell-CT™, the world’s first 3D cellular imaging device based upon optical projection tomography, which renders cells with sub-micron, isometric resolution. Based on 3D images of cells from sputum, VisionGate aims to introduce the world’s first, non-invasive, diagnostic test for early lung cancer detection: LuCED™.  VisionGate has recently relocated its company headquarters to Phoenix from Seattle and is in the process of building the team that will carry the development of its products forward in the Phoenix area.

 

Position Summary

VisionGate, Inc. is currently seeking a clinical study coordinator/lab technologist. The main responsibilities include maintenance of relationships with clinical sites, aiding the preparation of study-related documents, and specimen handling and shipping logistics.  Responsibilities also include patient specimen processing, data collection, and lab maintenance. Key requirements for this position are attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills, team-oriented personality, and a motivation to learn.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

·         Active participation in the design and management of clinical studies

·         Communication with personnel at the study site to ensure that protocols are followed, to assist in troubleshooting

·         Involvement in the writing of study protocols, IRB applications, and other documents related to study start-up

·         Participation in the writing of laboratory protocols and standard operation procedures

·         Maintenance of VisionGate’s Laboratory (lab and equipment maintenance, and lab supply inventory)

·         Ordering of supplies, preparation of specimen collection kits and shipment of kits to study sites

·         Specimen preparation

·         Data Collection using VisionGate’s Cell-CT instruments

 

Training and Experience

·         Bachelors degree in the Life Sciences

·         Prior work experience in a scientific laboratory

·         Detail oriented work style

·         Excellent laboratory skills, including aseptic techniques

·         Strong adherence to safety and biosafety regulations

·         Excellent writing, and communication skills
