The preferred applicant will be a highly motivated person with demonstrated natural resource information management and GIS skills, and the capacity to oversee the development of monitoring programs to improve outcomes in on-ground projects that CLC Land Management section staff support on Aboriginal lands. The position will provide geospatial data, mapping and project management support to approximately 45 staff with a broad range of NRM functions
and will work closely with IT management staff to develop processes and protocols for specific components of a proposed Land Resource Information Management System.

This newly created position, based in the community of Yuendumu, presents a unique opportunity to a highly motivated and energetic person with excellent team skills and an interest in working
in a cross cultural setting supporting traditional owners to realise their aspirations for managing country and maintaining culture. We are looking for someone with demonstrated experience in indigenous land management either with a natural resource management or anthropological background, a willingness to work closely with traditional owners and the CLC Warlpiri Ranger group to plan and implement a diverse program of on-country projects, and the ability to
work cooperatively with project partners and key regional stakeholders to effectively oversee management of the Southern Tanami IPA.
