· Texas based Riverland Properties is seeking to fill a full-time independent Landman position in the Youngstown, Ohio area.
· Duties will be divided between meetings and negotiations with mineral owners and detailed office work.
- Must be an Ohio resident
Responsibilities:
· Provide support to assigned area of responsibility in support of company's active development and acquisition on mineral interests.
· Develop lists of mineral owners and contact mineral owners.
· Responsible for analysis and recommendations relative to the negotiation and drafting of agreements with land owners and partners.
· Prepare, review, and revise legal contracts for the acquisition of mineral interests.
· Review rental/lease expiration and obligation reports and make recommendations for maintenance.
· Prepare runsheets from courthouse research and mineral ownership reports.
Skills required:
· 4 year college degree required or pursuing a degree.
· Registered Professional Landman/Certified Professional Landman preferred, or willing to pursue.
· Self-motivated with ability to work efficiently, set priorities and interface with owners, partners, and in-house staff.
· Able to work on your own.
· Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
· Proficient analytical skills with accuracy/attention to details a must.
· Strong written and oral communication skills.
· Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and land systems.
