Landscape Operations Manager/Gardner Job in New York 10021, New York US
High-end residential design/build landscape company located in NYC seeking a full time experienced Landscape Operations Manager/ Gardener.
Nature’s Landing has been operating in the landscape industry for over 20 years in both the US and Canada. We specialize in designing, installing and maintaining rooftops, terraces, gardens, and courtyards for high end properties throughout the NYC area.
Responsibilities
- Represent the company at all times with professionalism and a positive attitude
- Plant identification
- Tree, shrub, perennial, annual, and lawn care knowledge
- Soil preparation, pruning, weeding and fertilizing
- Working knowledge and ability to identify plant diseases and pests
- Plant layout, installation and maintenance of all types of gardens
- Basic knowledge of indoor plant material
- Sidewalk snow removal for clients (shovel and snowblower)
- Willing to work in ALL weather conditions
- Manage and maintain multiple client projects daily, catering to specific requests and needs
- Lead, supervise, and prepare weekly maintenance schedules for horticultural team members
- Record daily logs electronically on company database and Google Docs for client project tracking, updating of plant material, and company records
- Demonstrate interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills
Required Qualifications
3-5 years landscape experience, minimum 2 year diploma/horticultural certificate
Landscape ornamental pesticide applicator license is preferable
Drafting ability and seasonal floral design experience is a plus
Valid NY driver’s license, with a clean driving record
