Landscaping Estimator Job in Stoughton 02072, Massachusetts US
We are a large Landscaping Construction firm looking for a Senior Estimator; this is a fast moving department and we are looking for a self motivated, dependable and organized person to grow with us.
Key Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to ...
• Receive calls and emails from potential general contractors, about the projects that are currently out for bid.
• Receive and review the drawings, utilizing the software to identifying plant counts the necessary materials to complete the project.
• Utilize the estimating program to enter the materials, in order to establish an estimate for the price and labor that will be necessary.
• Remain in contact with the Contract Estimator and Project Manager of the contracting firm to confirm that they have received all the necessary documents.
• Gather samples and complete submittal packages for all clients.
• Inform production and complete a project handoff for any projects which have been contracted.
• Assist production with the interpretation of the drawings and pricing of various materials.
• Maintain open relationship and communication with all production staff.
• Encourage growth and knowledge by attending training and certification classes.
Qualifications...
• (Full Time 40 hrs/week)
• Bachelors Degree base around the Landscaping Industry (i.e. Horticulture, Landscape Management, Agriculture, etc...)
• Stable Work History
• Minimum 3 years experience (resume must demonstrate)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint as well as PDF
• Superior Written and Oral Communication Skills
• Highly Organized and Motivated
