Large Corporate Asset Finance
Corporate Asset Finance ("CAF") specialises in the provision of asset finance solutions to a range of corporate clients. The team is broadly divided between those focused on UK mid-market corporates (turnover £100-500m) and those who concentrate on the Global Corporates (turnover £500m+) space. This role will be aligned to the Global Corporates client group where the successful utilisation of large ticket structured asset finance solutions is key.
The CAF team currently comprises 17 professionals who utilize a variety of different products that includes finance and operating leases, synthetic leases, lease receivables purchase facilities and secured debt.
The team's primary objective is to deliver ancillary income to the bank through engaging with the Bank's corporate and financial institution relationships and other intermediary organizations. The team is part of the core bank lending group in the U.K.
The team's focus matches that of the relationship bankers and is therefore centred on 4 broad sectors groups - Industrials (including aerospace defence and transport), Consumer Services, Natural Resources and Financial Institutions.
This role is to join CAF as senior member of the origination team with a focus on the "Global Corporates" and "Financial Institutions" client base with a reporting line to the Head of Origination for this part of the business.
A willingness to support and contribute to the wider CAF Team activity will be important.
The team is looking for a Director to focus on originating and executing big ticket asset finance transactions in the Transportation, Aviation and Consumer sectors for UK corporates with turnover above £500m.

The role will involve:
• Interpreting, consolidating and delivering the division's Global Corporates growth strategy through internal influencing of stakeholders and generating internal momentum
• Originating, advising customers and executing transactions, based on full understanding of key clients and regular interaction with key customers, and taking into consideration all products available;
• Contribute to managing the investment portfolio for closed business and aiding the distribution/secondary funding activity;
• Building customer relationships and reputation to enhance the profile of the team and the bank to achieve first call status with customers considering asset finance solutions;
• As the business grows, leading, supervising and coaching the team, including attracting and hiring new personnel and setting targets and standards for team members;
• Developing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships to ensure that early engagement in transactions occurs;
