Large Loss Senior Claims Technician - Birmingham - Up to £39,600 plus benefits
An excellent opportunity to join a Leading Global Insurance Organisation within a high profile Claims role.
You will be responsible for a case load of high value complex Personal Injury Claims from inception through to settlement over £250K. You will be responsible on average for £45m worth of claims reserves, with the key aim of settling claims efficiently and cost effectively for the Company.
Responsibilities / Job:
Proactively run a small case load of high value, contentious and complex PI claims, utilising all available means to reach settlement, including negotiation, mediation and trial.
Liaise regularly with Underwriters, Loss Adjusters Solicitors.
Lead site visits and agree reserves and the course of action to be taken
Assist with the development of the large loss strategy.
Act as a technical referral point for the Large Loss Division.
Contribute to design and delivery of training for the Claims Unit.
Experience Required:
Must have experience handling Personal Injury Claims over £200K and up to £1m.
In depth technical knowledge of the claims process, policy and philosophy.
Litigation knowledge in relation to complex liability and damage awards.
