Our growing company needs more intelligent and skilled people with a desire for self-improvement. This position is for someone to run our most advanced equipment, our Amada EM2510 punch and Amada FO3015NT laser and our Motoman robotic welder.
Our philosophy is "cross-training" to make you more valuable as an employee. So if you like to work on different machines and learn new ones, this is for you. You must be a high school graduate with good mechanical skills and have worked on CNC Punches and Lasers before. You should be familiar with mechanical drawings and measuring instruments like calipers.
General A E is a union shop which gives increases every year. We have a medical plan, holidays, vacations, personal and sick days and a 401-K Plan. We are busy and currently working overtime. Whereas many companies are laying off, reducing hours and closing we are growing, upgrading our quality systems and adding customers.
We would like you to be able to assemble and sharpen tools dies for the turret, understand the control console of the laser and other things. But the most important thing is that you LIKE TO LEARN AND WANT TO BE EFFICIENT.
