Latam DCM Origination, Analyst / Associate, Boutique Investment Bank, New York
My client, a leading niche investment bank, are looking to make the critical hire of a Latam focused DCM originator to join their group in New York. The right candidate must be business fluent in English and Spanish and should have strong origination focused Debt Capital Markets experience.
The role:
- This is an exciting position as part of small and dynamic market leading emerging markets team. You will hit the ground running and have the responsibility for identifying and sourcing new business opportunities for the group, particularly in the corporates space in Latin America, notably in: Mexico, Chile and Peru.
- Origination of $ vanilla bond opportunities – experience in the high yield bond markets is very desirable.
- Structuring / negotiation and coordination with internal / external council and legal teams, however, focus will be on origination, not documentation (this will be handled, in the main, by the legal team).
- Preparing pitch books, keeping up-to-date with market activity, regular client meetings to pitch for and originate new business.
Requirements:
- My client is looking to hire a DCM professional already working at an established DCM platform with proven track record. This is an Analyst or Associate level hire.
- Strong bonds/ fixed income exposure important and knowledge of USD bond markets are essential.
- Essential to be business fluent in Spanish and English.
- Preferable to have prior Latam DCM experience.
- This candidate has a track record of hiring high calibre candidates with strong academic and proven work experience from top institutions.
