LATAM Economist – Buy side
You will be reporting directly to the chief economist and working within the research team alongside the portfolio managers.
The responsibilities of this role include:-
Working as an Economist/Strategist in the research team
Formulate the team’s views on the macroeconomic outlook of Latam economies (Brazil, Mexico, Argentina)
Formulation of the firm’s views on the global macroeconomic outlook(GDP growth, inflation and monetary policy)
Extensive interaction with other research teams, trading, sales, clients and media
Econometric modelling and in-depth analysis on various topics
Participating in all research publications (daily, weekly and quarterly papers)
In order to apply you must be a well trained economist with an MSC/PHD from a leading school in addition to Central banking experience.
You will be expected to be able to leverage off your current exposure and use it as an advantage in the private sector.
