Late Arrears Restructures Agents

18 Month Contract
Salary: €35k-42k
Our client, a leading European Bank undergoing wide scale expansion, is looking to enhance its existing credit function and is seeking to employ a Late Arrears Restructures Agent based in Dublin.
The Role
The Restructures Agent will be authorising new credit terms to the business, responsible for the correct assessment of individual client’s circumstances. To assess the overall proposed plan for the borrower and to demonstrate when each client will be moving out of arrears on each suggested proposal.
Responsibilities
- The management of the underwriting on clients requiring a restructure or a capitalisation of their arrears
- To calculate and derive the best possible solution for the clients and in the re-writing of the loan
- To identify high risk customers and to provision for them accordingly
- The fully evaluate and assess the clients individual circumstances and their income and expenditure and to recommend options to the client in line with the business policy
- To assess the validity of customers personal and financial situations and to evaluate these against the credit writing policy
- Fully audit and assess the information provided from clients in view of their applications for restructuring and or capitalisation
- To advise customers when they are not suitable for a restructure in the circumstances when the client represents too great a risk.
- Work with the credit committee, Collections Underwriting and other departments in the continuous refinement of policy and practice
- To manage the full documentation process with each client terms to the business
- To work in line with the companies lending and compliance policies and in-line with the overall collections strategy and process
- To assess the overall proposed plan for the borrow and to demonstrate when each client will be moving out of arrears on each suggested proposal
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated mortgage restructures experience in a banking environment.
- Knowledge of MARP.
- High level of numeracy, good organisational skills and a high attention to detail
- High level of motivation, be customer focused and have the ability to work on their own initiative
- Strong administration/letter writing skills and the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
- Strong communication skills with an ability to deal with customers in a confident and professional manner where required
- A strong commercial focus/ awareness and extensive underwriting experience in either domestic or commercial underwriting is essential.
- Full end to end understanding of the arrears process
- Numeric, analytical, organised, efficient, motivated.
- Competent decision maker with ability to delegate and negotiate.
- Very good time management and prioritising skills necessary.
- Strong team player as well as the ability to work on own initiative.
- Excellent PC skills (including Microsoft Word, Excel, E Mail)
- Relevant third level qualification or professional equivalent.
- APA Loans (QFA Loans and Regulation) essential, preferably fully QFA qualified
