Latin America Strategist – NEW YORK recruitment

JOB DESCRIPTION

A global Investment Bank is seeking to add a head LatAm strategist for their LatAm trading desk in New York. The candidate will be expected to provide cross asset research, focusing predominantly on Brazil and Mexico.

Required of the candidate:

• Developing trading ideas for clients, covering Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Argentina and Chile

• Mainly focusing in FX/IR and Fixed Income markets

• Develop and maintain economic models used to produce in-depth research and strategy recommendations

• Conducted detailed economic analysis, including forecasting economic variables, to develop trading strategy

• Analyzing local financial sector performance

• Development and maintenance of econometric models for both short-term forecasts and long-term scenario analysis.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years experience as a Strategist

• Experience in Emerging Market research efforts                                                                                                                                      

• Excellent LatAm Knowledge

• Excellent Academics
