In the course of staffing its new RFID design team based in San Jose, CA, NXP is looking for experienced RFID and NVM designers to fuel its drive toward Best-in-Class RFID IC designs. This autonomous, self sufficient Silicon Valley team is part of a broader transformation into an organization with the flavor of a start-up and the resources of a $4 Billion annual revenue powerhouse. NXP’s highly profitable RFID business unit is committed to understanding in depth its customers’ applications and serve them with Best-in-Class ICs.

In order to support and execute our aggressive market share growth plan in RFID Tags Labels we have decided to recruit, build and establish a top notch tag IC development team in San Jose (US). This team will focus on RFID applications making use of UHF technology and will work together with our existing European development team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work closely with the team in San Jose to create for Best-in-Class RFID ICs analog RF circuits with ultra-low power consumption. The candidate will also have significant interaction with and access to expertise in the Gratkorn/Austria design teams. Solid expertise in low power UHF RF design (rectifiers, modulators, demodulators) is a strong plus as is experience in ultra-low power analog circuit design and understanding ultra-low voltage device and circuit operation. We strongly value hands-on lab skills in measuring and evaluating RF performance of circuits and ICs.

Requirements

BSEE required with 5-10 years related experience. Excellent communication skills.

Willing to push the technology barrier for truly best-in-class performance and be a team player.
