Lead Analyst
Title Lead Analyst – Rates and Credit Simplification Program
Description This role is within the Balance Sheet and Revenue Control (Rates Credit) function of Finance, to support the current line product controllers and Finance IT with the adoption and integration of a new 3rdparty RMS, Murex within the Finance layer.
Specifically you will be involved the definition of target functional model for the business and optimising the production and balance sheet substantiation processes.
You will be responsible for
• Working closely with integration team, line controllers and IT to define the Finance requirements and continually assessing the build out against the Finance requirement set.
• Ensuring the integrity of the end-to-end business process; which will include redesigning the entire pnl process (including RSBPL)
• Managing the identification and specification of the change requirements.
• Ensuring that all controls necessary for the complete, accurate and appropriate data-flow are available throughout the front-to-back business and are fully defined and owned by the appropriate Finance owners.
• Ensuring that all changes are tested and that the performance of the specifics as well as wider full process regression testing adequately supports implementation signoff. This will require reporting and interpretation of test results.
• Driving the resolution of stakeholder’s issues/concerns
• Ensuring the integrity of the front to back process in relation to any required conversion approach and on-going business covering all functional areas.
• Analysis of business requirements
• Involvement in the definition of the target functional model for the business.
• Managing the relationship between Finance and the key stakeholders in the business, including trading, MRC and IT
• Developing tools to enhance the control structure within the pnl and balance sheet substantiation process
This role requires strong BUC process and product understanding to be able to add value in the analysis and design phase process. Project management skills are desirable but not essential. Stakeholder management will key as you will be facing off against a variety of senior stakeholders both within Finance and in other Departments.
Requirements
Candidates with previous exposure to Murex or other high value RMS integration projects are highly desirable.
Strong detailed analysis skills with the ability to rise above this detail to review a process in the light of the overall control environment and apply this to the process model.
Maintain the professional, ethical and legal standards required in FCD.
Attention to detail and high standards of data and systems integrity.
Follow international codes of practice and controls.
Compliance and legal requirements.
General understanding of generic banking products.
Broad familiarisation with project management methodologies and tools.
Cross-national control processes.
The candidate requires an intimate understanding of the end to end process and control environment through Trading, Risk Management, Operations and Financial Control.
Experience and understanding of the BUC process around controlling a derivatives trading business, this should include experience of the PL processes
A strategic and global perspective.
Strong organisational skills with disciplined and structured approach.
Working knowledge of [specify systems] including user and configuration perspectives.
Clear verbal and written communication. IT skills including MS Access are desirable.
Set and achieve customer service and quality standards to ensure high standards.
Manage and control business risks, budgets and costs for own area of responsibility, using resources cost-effectively.
