Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Lead Application/Product Engineer for theFort Wayne,INlocation. This role’s responsibilities include:

Working/Technical Leadership role with HVAC Application Engineers. Technical liaison working with major HVAC customers to develop and qualify existing and new 42/48 Frame PSC motors into our customers' applications. Learn customer applications to establish tests and procedures to qualify our PSC products; including application, air flow, and reliability test needs. Mentor local application engineers as well as those from our Global Technology Centers. Work closely with new product development project teams to help define and assure customers' CTQ's are being met. Lead project teams to generate and drive product improvement ideas and cost out projects. Work with our manufacturing and plant quality teams to support them on product issues and changes. Review manufacturing capability and field failure data to verify and improve delivered product quality and performance. Work with global engineering and manufacturing teams. Provide leadership and direction to other HVAC Application Engineers.

Qualifications:

-Customer Centric.

-Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.

-Minimum 5 years experience with product design and/ or application of fractional or small integral HP AC motors.

-Able to work with a global team to support NA customers.

-Evident enthusiasm, adaptability, initiative, creativity, ownership, and problem solving skills.

- Strong interpersonnel oral and written presentation and communication skills.

-Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.

Desired Qualifications:

- Six Sigma trained, experience with statistical analysis, and Green Belt Certified.

- Application knowledge or design experience with electronically driven motors.

- Project Leadership experience
