A leading Wholesale Banking client requires a Senior Architect to lead the strategy, define target capabilities, roadmaps, and standards across the Wholesale Banking and Transaction Banking product in the Bank. The Global Technology Operations (GTO) department plays a crucial role in the rapid expansion of of the bank, delivering technology development, systems support and banking operations to business divisions around the globe.
GTO is headquartered in Singapore and plays a key part of the management of the Bank and has a voice in all major decisions, a centre of excellence and innovation, leading the way in improving our processes and streamlining our operations.

Job Description
This is an exciting Senior Architect role whose main purpose is to lead the strategy, define target capabilities, roadmaps, and standards across the Wholesale Banking and Transaction Banking product in the Bank.  You will be an experienced professional who possesses the appropriate engagement skills to influence, update, communicate and align these capabilities across people, processes and technology to support the Bank’s business and technology agenda.

You will ideally have the highest level of expertise in the development, specification and communication of an organisation’s technology architecture plan, the infrastructure components required to support it, and in the integration of corporate and business area business and technology architectures. You would have demonstrated successful development and delivery of innovative and effective strategies, roadmap and designs that align and address the most diverse and complex business problems.  You would also have worked across multiple programs of work for the relevant domain.  We would be able to see a proven track record of where you have specifically identified opportunities to leverage technology synergies to save costs and improve efficiencies in an organisation and exploit business adjacencies through addressing the technology gaps.

One of the key project initiatives you will be working on is to work on a large multiyear, multimillion dollar transformation project to combine various cash management systems across multiple countries.  This will tie into other initiatives addressing Liquidity Management and Payments and Clearing.

Key Roles Responsibilities 
• Understand the strategy, needs of business units and assist in the development of technology roadmaps.
• Serve as domain architect to implement an updated technology foundation for the bank with full capability accountability for architecture deliverables (process, information, technology etc.) from concept to implementation
• Leading the definition of one or more application and technology architecture domains in consultation with the respective Business, Heads of Architecture and the IT Group as a whole.
• Communicate and influence key elements of one or more technology architectures to technical and business audiences
• Provide consultation and issue resolution services to IT colleagues for one or more technology architectures, consulting with other architecture leaders as required.
• Contributing to architecture definition and road map in Transaction Banking domain, especially Cash Management
• Own and lead architecture definitions for new initiatives in Transaction Banking.
• Contributes in group strategic initiatives and decision making at a group level including product architectures and roadmaps
• Interface with senior stakeholders including other group architects to drive architectural directions
• Development of relevant architectural standards high level design principles
• Spearheads various key technology initiatives like standard definition, frameworks, architecture blueprints
• Identify opportunities to leverage technology synergies to save costs and improve efficiencies
• Seek and exploit business adjacencies through addressing the technology needs
• Initiate innovative application of technology to capture new business value
• Remaining current on leading trends in designated architecture areas and IT in general.
• Be connected to industry bodies and relevant organisation to ensure currency of leading trends in the market

Qualifications Skills
•  • Proven analytical capability and thorough working knowledge of a key business line of a bank.
• A proven track record of extensive experience in working on the following tasks:
o Technology Strategy,
o Business Architecture,
o Enterprise Architecture in financial services, covering multiple locations,
o Engagement with senior people within business, operations, and technology.
• Enterprise architecture disciplines, tools and models to define targets, roadmaps and standards across the Bank
• Generate, through facilitation or target capabilities, roadmaps and standards across the architectural domains to enable client experience, revenue enhancing, risk and cost reduction, efficiency, stability and service.
• Ability to build architecture by components each focused on a logical technology layer or targeted at solving a business issue.
• Ability to lead senior teams on short-term projects.
• Strong understanding of the relationships between processes, information and technology and business outcomes.
• Good team work with strong influencing skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, highly organized.
• Good engagement skills with both business and technology.
• Advanced degree in Computer Sc. or Computer Eng. Degree, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Additional business degree would be an advantage
• Possessing solid, diverse industry experience across all aspects of systems development, technology strategy creation, and management.
• Previous project leadership is desirable.
