Function: Operations Family: Warehouse Operations What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers. What is expected of you for success in your role Demonstrates multi-function expertise and leadership skills to assign work, monitor area performance and suggest process improvement Accurately and efficiently performs several operational tasks, including trouble shooting and research Operates multiple types of material handling/ packaging/ warehouse equipment Performs several or specialized warehouse operations functions within the operating guidelines of the facility Identifies and presents process improvements for consideration and implementation Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills to various levels within the organization Accountabilities in this role The selected candidate will be responsible for leading a team of 10-20 warehouse associates in day-to-day operations and addressing issues as they arise, passing any issue requiring supervisor attention immediately to the supervisor. In addition to these responsibilities, the Lead Warehouse Associate will be responsible for meeting all production quotas, accuracy requirements, and safety guidelines. Applies extensive knowledge and company policies to complete a wide range of assignments Demonstrates expert understanding of all levels of the job family and has thorough knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibility Takes the lead in effectively applying new processes and skills in accomplishing assignments May provide technical guidance and training to others Maintains appropriate licenses/training/certifications Works on complex problems that require independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues Makes recommendations for new/revised processes and has role in the implementation Adheres to all quality guidelines Works with minimal degree of supervision.
