Lead Biomedical Technician Schedule : Full-time Shift : Day Hourly Rate : $30.12 + Depending on Experience Job Category : Biomedical Location : Alaska-Anchorage Providence is calling a lead biomedical technician at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK. In this position, you will: Guide and direct the clinical equipment program and works under the supervision of the Clinical Engineering Manager. Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate and verify performance of clinical equipment and/or supervises the work of others completing these tasks. Serve as technical advisor to the medical and clinical staff in the safe operation and proper use of clinical equipment. Assist in developing specifications for selection of new items of clinical equipment. Be responsible for the safety, performance and calibration of clinical equipment involved in patient care. Qualifications for this position include: High school diploma and a two-year vocational course or an associate program in an electronics related field. Additional formalized advance training is preferred on medical equipment, normally acquired from manufacturer training programs. Valid driver's license for the State of Alaska. ICC Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician certificate preferred. Three years repairing, calibrating and maintaining medical equipment required; 7 years preferred. Able to work beyond scheduled working hours when needed due to workload demands. Must be a dependable team member capable of being relied upon to be at work when scheduled. Ability to provide service in a calm and effective manner.
