The Trade, Debt and Risk Solutions Group (TDRSG) Change Portfolio has an immediate need to recruit a Business Analyst to support the growth aspirations of the business. The role will be an integral part of the Business Architecture team that is accountablefor the development and delivery of Business Designfor key strategic Projects and Programmes. The successful candidate will work on both the Target Operating Model and Business Requirements across key Programmes and Projects.
Specific details of the role: -
- To lead analysis workstreams and mentor teams when required, ensuring consistency and high quality of deliverables across distributed projects
- To undertake analysis, investigation, research and evaluation of the client propositions for key Projects and Programmes across the TDRSG Portfolio
- To work with the Business to understand and develop their Target Operating Models (TOM) and Business requirements
- To formulate recommendations based on analysis in order to influence the decisions of the Business
- To work with Technology partners to ensure technology have a full understanding of the Business requirements
Key Accountabilities approximate time split
Delivery Of Analysis Sub-Project/Project Delivery - 90 %
(Accountable to Programme Director/Principal Programme Manager)
- Build (when necessary) and lead a team of Business Analysts
- Undertake detailed and complex analysis, investigation, research and evaluation of the Business on a major Programme or Project with stakeholders to gain data to drive out business design and requirements
- Provide objective analytical insight based on information supplied by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on a Project or Programme
- Extract key data from a variety of sources (discussions/reports/process flows) and be able to communicate and document how processes/requirements will differ by each corresponding region
- Deliver and present Business analysis to appropriate levels of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the Project plan
- Define high level Business and Operational designs, aligned to Business and Operational strategies
- Define functional and non-functional requirements for larger, more complex activities or leading less complex engagements
- Assess, design, develop and implement new or enhanced TOM including processes, systems, products and services that are the deliverables from a Change Project as part of an overall strategic Business Change Programme
- Operating in accordance with the requirements of mandated Change Management and Project Management methods and tools
Personal and Professional Development - 10%
- Develop and maintain personal and professional development – this will include development on technical product knowledge, industry knowledge and good practice tool and techniques in the Change Management field.
- Input into new and improved Business analysis methods, tools and techniques
- Develop knowledge of XXXX and the capabilities and propositions offered to clients
- Coach and Mentor Business Analysts by sharing knowledge and lessons learnt
Person Specification
Technical Skills
- Requirements gathering, analysis and definition, including the development of Business requirements documentation
- Data analysis and statistical technique
- Business operating model design, including process analysis and mapping
- Use of presentation software tools
- Vision, PowerPoint and Excel skills
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- Working knowledge of a complex Financial Services environment
- Understanding of Barclays Behaviours and displayed at all times
- High degree of organisational awareness
- Confidence to challenge both Product and Technical teams to ensure best solution
- Demonstrable track record of successful delivery of one or more Business Change Projects
- Experience working in a change function
- Owner and leader of workstreams, meeting or exceeding time/cost/quality
Preferred
- Educated to Degree level to or can demonstrate equivalent experience
- Project Management methods, disciplines and the lifecycle
- Experience of working in a complex financial services environment
- Formal external qualification/accreditation in business analysis discipline
- Strong financial modelling skills
