Job Description Job Classification: Contract TEKsystems is in search for a Lead Business Analyst to support one of our clients located in Baltimore MD. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years experience in roles which demonstrate proficiency in translating complex market and customer requirements into functional requirements and functional specifications. Additional proficiencies include use case development, business process analysis, requirements documentation, domain modeling and logical data modeling; and an expert understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies. The candidate will work closely with clinical staff, external customers, web and mobile software developers, and quality assurance testers within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Organizational Leadership - Takes ownership of and acts as our client's internal subject matter expert related to all aspects of the requirements development process Functional Leadership - Leads a team of junior Business Systems Analysts by providing mentoring and coaching around best practices related to all aspects of the requirements development process - Leads facilitation of formalized joint application development (JAD) sessions with internal and external stakeholders - Develops a partnership with our client's Product Marketing organization to define product and/or service scope and objectives - Successfully elicits and documents customer and business requirements - Translates customer and business requirements into use cases, domain and logical data models, work flows, functional requirements and functional specifications that lead to new or enhanced clinical application solutions - Partners with User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) teams to validate accuracy of functional requirements related to user design such as mockups and wireframes - Achieves consensus from multiple stakeholder groups on accuracy and validity of use cases, work flows, functional requirements and functional specifications - Leads user acceptance testing process (UAT) with internal and external stakeholder groups - Supports customer implementations and end user change management (communications and training collateral) Technical Leadership - Leads the elicitation, documentation and evaluation of complex user requirements - Reviews, evaluates, recommends and prioritizes requests for product changes - Leads the decision making relating to design and implementation of customer requirements - Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of modeling techniques and skill set to produce high quality data flow diagrams, domain models, logical data models, etc. - Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge to create use cases and user stories for definition of requirement functionality Process Leadership - Provides direction and ownership of our client's requirements development process - Develops and institutes procedures and structure to provide adherence and continuity to our client's requirements development process - Identifies areas of improvement in our client's requirements development process and implements corrective action to improve results - Defines and develops metrics that help to measure the effectiveness of requirements on the development of products and services - Demonstrates ownership of the requirement throughout the requirement development process as well as the software development lifecycle Required Skills Experience - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, Acrobat and other software and modeling tools - Proficiency in modeling techniques - data flows, logical data models, etc. - Detail oriented, organized and able to multi task - Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills - Able to work independently and in a team environment - Act as a lead advisor, coach and mentor to team members and management - Self driven, motivated and results oriented; - Understands web and mobile software development tools and methodologies Required Education Minimum Education: BA, BS (preferably in healthcare information systems,, information systems or an engineering-related discipline) Join TEKsystems ® and get your career on the fast track.
