Job Description Lead Business Analyst-Mobile Technologies-1203857 Description The International Mobile Team is responsible for the ideation, design and delivery of Mobile products and services for our International business partners. The Lead Business Analyst is responsible for driving the business needs and project requirements and ensuring they are holistic and fully understand. You will work closely with business partners to extract the core project needs and translate those into tangible requirements. He/She will need to work at the detailed level and be a fast thinker with exceptional relationship, organization and analytical skills. He/She will also be responsible for the strict documentation of project material, adherence to American Express policies, procedures and standards and compliance to internal and industry guidelines. Responsibilities will include: * Work with the business technologies teams to craft and evaluate business objectives and supporting business case. * Will own the identification and documentation of functional quality requirements. * You will be expected to become a subject matter expert in our core businesses, applications, internal processes and mobile development principles and processes. * Lead cross functional project teams and work in parallel with the business and technology partners to determine project scope and down the line impacts. * Create meaningful documentation to record project scope including conceptual design, business and quality requirements, use case diagrams and testing plans to name a few. * Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of multiple business areas and an aptitude to understand technical solutions. * Organize and chair project meetings, ensuring agreements are recorded and communicated. * Plans and defines testing approach providing advice on prioritization of testing activities in support of identified risks in project schedules or test scenarios. * Proactively anticipates any project risks and issues and ensures adequate mitigation efforts are put in place. * Work with the internal partners and external creative agencies to ensure the optimal customer experience across the mobile portfolio and ensuring compliance to iGuide principles. * Collaborate with partnering teams to ensure proposed designs meet business requirements. * Work closely with the Project Manager, providing inputs throughout the project lifecycle (identifying resource requirements, project estimates, timelines etc). * The successful candidate will also be required to provide coaching and consultancy to vendor partners. * Assists in implementation planning and performs rollout validation. * Attends Post Implementation Reviews to ensure lessons learned are carried forward in subsequent development activities. Qualifications * 5+ years extensive previous experience performing in a senior business analyst role in a Technologies environment. * Thorough exposure and familiarity with SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle). * Experience with Agile a plus. * Experience with Mobile Development a plus. * Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal. * Superior relationship management skills. * Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as part of a team. * Quick thinker with a will to win and the ability to steer discussions. * Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities. * Excellent listening skills with a flair for extracting the details. * Articulate, well organized and with a flair for analysis. * Strong facilitation skills with ability to influence and challenge traditional thinking by engaging in constructive dialogue. * Strong ability to articulate a problem (conceptualizes, synthesize and integrate information). * Ability and confidence to provide creative solutions and direction to a team. * Ability to demonstrate initiative and confidence to take the lead. * Superior collaborator with the ability to negotiate and compromise when necessary. * Ability to navigate through a large organization and develop strong working relationships with business, technology and external 3rd parties. * Demonstrates personal excellence, passion and enthusiasm for the job.
