Business Engagement Manager – Corporate Banking – Salary: Dependent on Experience
A leading corporate bank is looking for a Lead Business Engagement Manager to head up an expanding Data group which was set up in 2013. The group is part of the larger Operations Technology Arm. The aim of the newly formed area is to establish Data as a strategic asset across the company which is delivered with coherence and integrity. Providing powerful insights, this will help to drive customer/client loyalty. By doing this the candidate will contribute to business growth, optimisation, and effective risk management.
The successful candidate will be strategically responsible for revenue opportunities, structural cost take out initiatives and to create, lead and the company’s relationship management model.
This ideal candidate with have strong technical experience in Big Data, Analytics, Business Solutions and Products.
Strategy;
• Lead Strategic Data initiatives on behalf of the Chief Data Officer and Data Leadership team and drive embedding data at the heart of the way we do business, create products and services and understand our customers and clients
• Lead the company’s data investment Strategy and represent these into the formulation and maintenance of Data strategic roadmap.
Stakeholder Engagement Communication;
• Engage at executive level, primarily.
• Create a communication strategy and deliver a channel/process that satisfies the requirements of the company’s business units.
• Negotiate with the company’s executive teams to review plans and estimates to agree milestones, priorities and budget.
• Be accountable for the stakeholder relationship management mapping
Solutions Development;
Produce data solutions which are technically innovative and leading edge thinking in support of the strategic data direction. You will challenge stakeholders creatively and professionally.
• Responsible for ensuring typically complex data solutions adhere to architectural and quality standards and policies.
• Lead architects and platform directors to shape initial solutions in readiness for delivery and review the design and production of the plan and estimate.
• Negotiate and collaborate with change and platform directors to identify correct resources.
• Lead business and data solutions in an environment of complex business requirements; challenging business requirements and demands to ensure high quality solutions and recommendations are created.
Technical Knowledge:
• You will have an in-depth knowledge of emerging technologies in Big Data, Insights, Reporting and Analytics.
• Knowledge of relevant technical specialism(s) at the highest level, by reading relevant literature, attending conferences and seminars, meeting and maintaining contact with other leading practitioners of the technical specialism and though playing a major role in appropriate learned, professional and trade bodies. Build relationship with manufacturers, supply channels and SI partners.
Project Delivery
Proven track record of large programme deliveries using a variety of project methodologies.
• Extensive experience of managing a large / diverse global team that may not be under your direct control.
