The Lead BO Report Developer performs complex analysis and reporting of health care data, developing standard and ad-hoc reports on utilization, quality of care, and health care costs. Utilizing reporting systems, tools and techniques, the Report Developer pulls together data into a comprehensible format relating it to standards, trends and benchmarks within the health care industry. As a Lead Report Developer, this hands-on leadership role assures the accuracy and data integrity of each report developed by the team.

Responsibilities:
•Lead a small team of report developers.
• Utilizing reporting systems, tools and techniques, consolidates data into a comprehensible format relating it to standards, trends and benchmarks within the health care industry. Leads analysis of report requirements with internal and external clients.
• Provide technical supervision and quality assurance on all reports generated by the team of Reporting Analysts. Measures contract compliance by designing, maintaining, and managing systems to collect internal data to guide billing and management decisions. Manages and assists with special projects as needed
• Design and develop reports that analyze claims activity, encounter data activity, authorization activity, internal processed, data transfer and other topics.
• Increase efficiencies within the Reporting Department by implementing advanced technical solutions; such as development of Views, Queries, and Unions in SQL and development of new Business Objects processes.

Education
• Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or equivalent of 10 or more years of current progressive IT reporting experience with use of state of the art technology including Business Objects.

Experience
• Minimum 7-9 years progressive report development experience, including 3 years expertise in leading business and IT teams in the design, development, testing and delivery of large scale process change.
• Minimum 4 years experience effectively managing development teams and/or other development support groups with a demonstrated history of successful project management.
• SAP Certified Application Associate Professional certification preferred
• Experience with developing databases, analyzing data, and preparing analytical reports.
• Use SQL Server to extract and manipulate data by writing queries, stored procedures, views, and user-defined functions.
• Experience with data manipulation/data transformation between systems
• Advanced Knowledge of Business Objects Suite – including BO components.
• Knowledge of ETL concepts and tools(Informatica) preferred.
• Experience with requirements gathering through analysis of workflows and mock-ups.
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers to identify their business or reporting needs.
• Experience with data manipulation/data transformation between systems
• Assesses client needs and is able to provide reporting or database solutions to meet those needs.
• Ability to transform data into concise, accurate, meaningful reports and spreadsheets
• Ability to analyze data and present findings to both management and clients
• Ability to yield statistic-driven decisions and recommendations.
• Ability to work well with clients and coworkers.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize project tasks, and seek out needed resources.
