Lead Buyer Direct Materials (m/f) Job in Pfaffenhofen/Ilm, Bayern Germany
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct all activities in accordance with our policies and procedures
- Create dedicated policy for sourcing of direct materials
- Contribute the overall mission and strategies of our Procurement in line with overall functional strategies to clearly position it´s role towards internal and external business partners as a central point of expertise
- Develop and implement contractual agreements upon vendor being selected, including clear KPI´s
- Pre-select , evaluate and recommend suppliers based on customer requirements
- Contribute to Procurement success with fulfilling defined KPI´s
- Participate in standardization and harmonization of processes and systems
- Establish contingency plans to prevent potential shortcomings of suppliers or material disruptions
- Negotiate optimal terms and conditions with suppliers, leveraging know-how of the market and cost base of assigned categories to achieve economies of scale and synchronization with supply chain
- Define, formulate and implement coherent global sourcing strategies, based on business requirements and supply market trends
- Manage the relationships towards vendors and internal customers ensuring contracts are established and negotiated to meet our customer requirements and objectives, and addressing expectations through proper
- Manage vendor performance by the mean of regular evaluations and improvement plans to prevent potential shortcomings of suppliers or materials disruptions
- Develops relationships with key internal/external customers to identify emerging needs and business challenges
- Develops value-added solutions that meet customer business needs and shares key learning’s with others
- Resolves complex problems
Requirements:
- Entrepreneurial mindset, open for all business relevant topics and willingness to challenge as is process in order to add value
- university degree requirement (e.g. BS/MS in an engineering / technical area)
- Customer Service Orientation: Acts as a business partner with internal customers
- Communication and Influence: Increases transparency, breaks down barriers in the organization, mobilizes internal stakeholders
- Intercultural experience
- Preferably strong expertise and working history in specific/ diverse sourcing category e.g. RD, Direct Materials.
- Knowledge in the regulatory process
- Pharmaceutical knowledge
- Knowledge in Operations in GxP environment
- Sound understanding about legal requirements
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize and deliver to deadlines
- A team player, open minded, flexible, proactive, motivated and willing to learn and develop
- outgoing and optimistic personality
- Ability to work in both fluent written and spoken English.
