Lead Collateral Management recruitment

The Process Lead, Collateral will act as a Collateral content expert for the Team, providing oversight to ensure that the team’s work is completed accurately and according to procedure while also supporting the management of internal and external relationships. In addition, he or she will be responsible for monitoring the workload of the Operations Associates within the group and contributing to their development through mentorship and coaching. The ideal candidate for this role will possess Collateral product knowledge and functional expertise in day-to-day operations processes. Candidates must illustrate the ability to engage on higher-level concepts and be agile enough to navigate change. The Process Lead, Collateral must be process-improvement orientated and thus should demonstrate the willingness and ability to challenge the status quo, to examine day-to-day operations critically, and to identify key issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement. He or she must possess a strong sense of personal responsibility and demonstrate strong analytical ability, common sense, and logic. Ideally, candidates would also demonstrate an aptitude for management and would have a potential trajectory into senior management roles

Responsibilities

• Quarterback the day-to-day process of collateralizing counterparty exposure

• Create and maintain collateral team’s priority list and hold team accountable for timely and accurate completion

• Manage counterparty relationships to ensure so that daily responsibilities can be fulfilled excellently.

• Provide coverage for day to day collateral work when necessary; execute on higher level or most difficult functional group work

• Execute on plan to train, test, and certify staff to support daily responsibilities

• Identify problems and inefficiencies, recommend solutions, and implement improvements

• Assist Supervisor with mentoring and career development for functional group members

• Ensure procedures are up to date and being followed

• Manage cross-departmental and cross-functional group dependencies on a day to day basis

• Act as subject matter expert within the collateral team
