The Lead Commercial Manager is responsible for the ownership and management of the overall Investment Management commercial model including our desktop, feeds and quantitative (QA) propositions. This role requires close collaboration with our business and proposition managers, sales teams and commercial operations teams across the division as well as relationships with commercial managers in other business units and divisions. Commercial strategy and pricing decisions are made in close collaboration with key stakeholders and are based on majority agreement amongst the SLT, but this role will be expected to drive that decision making process. This role also works closely with centralized groups within Commercial Policy and Customer Admin. This role does require some Excel modeling.
Responsibilities may include but is not limited to the following:
Commercial Management
- Manage overall commercial model with a focus on driving the value proposition and profitability, reducing complexity, and managing contractual obligations and order administration. Including the following initiatives during 2012:
- Establish single, global client commercial framework
- Reevaluate QA/feeds commercials
- Manage Commercial Events Roadmap, including engaging with Commercial Strategy team and relative segments, divisions and stakeholders to ensure buy in and support for IM-specific commercial events including the needs of our desktop, QA and feeds propositions
- Manage price reviews and annual price increase exercises.
- Review current pricing with a view to adjust over or underpriced packages and overall price levels for Asia and EMEA.
- Work with other members of the team to ensure the IM Pricing Calculator is optimized and updated
- Provide commercial guidance/deal oversight, particularly for large/strategic opportunities in partnership with the Regional Business Managers
- Align commercial models within Investors as appropriate.
- Collaborate with other members of Investors and Trading on strategic cross-division initiatives impacting the QA and Datafeed business.
- Collaborate with the commercial operations team to manage commercial administration needs and simplify the IM commercial model.
Proposition Management
- Engage with proposition managers, sales and customers to validate proposition and associated commercials.
- Gather customer feedback, as appropriate, and provide requirements to proposition team.

Skills
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Commercial Manager
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Working knowledge of Excel
- Bachelor's degree
- Pricing experience a plus
