Tasks and Responsibilities:
Do you love games? Do you spend a lot of your time using social media and engaging with online communities? Do you like exploring new opportunities, and can work magic with words? Then we need you!
As Lead Community Manager, you will maintain a strong relationship with Spil’s gaming community by monitoring feedback and informing gamers about updates and events. You will lead a team of Community Managers focused on Spil Games’ more established markets (Western Europe and Poland) and social networks (mainly Hyves).
The ideal candidate has a clear vision of how to build successful gaming communities. The core tasks and responsibilities of this position are:
- Building the Community Management team;
- Developing and executing the Community Management strategy;
- Aligning emerging markets strategy with the Channel Management, Product Management, and Online Marketing teams, and providing added value;
- Organizing the events calendar, working alongside Product and Channel Management;
- Implementing strategies for moderation and feedback;
- Monitoring emails for the portals;
- Ensuring sufficient resources are available to power the forums and portals;
- Collecting feedback from Community Managers about the games/portals on a daily basis and distributing them to the stakeholders;
- Creating new engagement opportunities that promote conversion, recurring payments, player retention, and product loyalty; and
- Answering incoming queries from Community Managers, solving these queries directly or escalating to the appropriate department.
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Experience in building and managing a team, or a clear vision on how to do this successfully
- An analytical approach with the ability to spot commercial opportunities
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal (fluency in other European languages is a plus)
- An understanding of our gamers’ mindsets and the ability to anticipate their needs and wishes
- Previous community management and/or forum moderation experience
- A team oriented self-starter with the ability to plan, organize, and execute
- Strong self-motivation and high level of commitment
- Great flexibility when working with multidisciplinary teams, combined with an independent and proactive working style
- Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-based environment
- Valid EU work permit and residing in the Netherlands
