Kaiser Permanente is heavily investing in new capabilities to support Health Plan claims processing. These capabilities are supported by large complex multi-year IT projects. The KPIT HP Claims Sub-Portfolio seeks a PM Principal to work as a thought partner with our business clients to ensure the successful delivery of these IT solutions. You will be joining a high performing motivated team of business and IT professionals eager to deliver outstanding solutions against aggressive timetables. The Lead Business Analyst in the California Claims Encounter Strategy Program (CCES) will support the benefits and provider contract system configuration. Essential Functions: - Compile and transform complex data from multiple legacy applications into Xcelys (Perot) formatting. - Perform detailed system configuration functions (analysis, rationalization, data entry) in the areas provider contracting, member benefits, as well as end-to-end health plan administration functions - Create and document test cases and perform unit and integrated testing for configuration scope of program - Participate in and conduct configuration data validation and defect root cause analysis - Ensures all existing applications and future development adhere to applicable health care and financial compliance regulations - Document and track detailed system configuration changes - Identify opportunities for increasing business efficiency through improved automated process systems - Perform detail business analysis and design, configuration, as well as, unit and system testing, for Xcelys business rule configuration Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent work experience. - 8 years of experience in documenting functional requirements, analyzing business processes, and developing business cases to support IT solutions. - Must have content knowledge of benefits or provider contracting experience - 5 years experience in business consulting and analysis, to include at least 3 years in a consulting role - 5 years experience working in a health plan claims environment Preferred Qualifications: - Must be flexible to work with issues spanning several topics and understand position is not restricted to one functional area - Must possess the following traits and/or skills: organization, communication, analytical problem solving, excellent oral and written skills, understanding of workflow / business processes, documentation technology knowledge (web- and LAN-based), ability to work with project teams in multiple locations and knowledgeable in health plan systems. - Claims administration and related health plan administrative functions (e.g. provider contracting, benefit administration, medical management) - Previous experience configuring Facets or Diamond 950 or Xcelys and / or experience in contemporary claims system implementation
