Responsibilities
- Architecting technical specifications, development, and software projects
- Software Architecture, design, development and support of quantitative trading software critical to operations and research
- Create software architecture, like user interfaces, systems for generating derived datasets, and, reports and alerts from databases and systems processes
- Back-office systems and databases support, maintenance and development
- Software project and program management
Qualifications
- Experience architecting and implementing large system software design, development, and specification
- Excellent project management record leading a team of software developers
- Ability to develop programs to parse process and analyze large datasets
- Expertise in creating data management applications using various Programing Languages (like C++, Java, and FORTRAN) and relational Database Languages like Oracle
- Proven track record with Scripting Languages: Perl, Python (including shell scripts) with a heavy accent on Unix based OS’s (especially Linux)
- An independent self-motivated person whom demonstrates an interest in learning new systems and technologies
- Strong people skills with the ability to effectively lead a team of highly skilled engineers, architects and developers
