Lead Demand Analyst – Metals Markets – £55k recruitment
Our client, a leading commodities consultancy is looking for a lead analyst on its metals desk. The lead analyst will focus on the copper markets from a demand perspective working alongside both the supply and the upstream team. This role is suited for an analytical candidate with strong exposure to commodity supply demand fundamentals. Additionally, as this is a lead position, candidates should have experience of project or team management.
Main Responsibilities:
Management:
Lead and guide three direct reports - Two are London-based, one in China.
Assist Group Manager in building and growing a high performing team
Responsibility for growing revenue
Analysis:
Take lead in the analysis of the overall copper market, including global supply / demand balance, regional market positions, stock developments, and price trends.
Manage teams copper price model
Connect with industry experts globally and maintain contact with key industry players
Visit external clients on a regular basis
Report Writing
Manage, edit and compile high quality copper demand reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.
This is an ideal role for candidate with solid supply / demand fundamentals experience in the metals or wider commodities / energy industry where they can take a lead in analysis and forge a leading reputation in the industry.
