Posted Position Title: Lead Design Engineer - Advanced LPT Design Career Level: Experienced Function Engineering/Technology Function Segment: Product Design and Development Location: United States U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces: Ohio City: Cincinnati Postal Code: 45215-1988 Relocation Assistance Yes Role Summary/Purpose: The Lead Design Engineer will execute technical projects related to module-level mechanical design of new military and commerical Low Pressure Turbines (LPTs). These projects will include working with the customer to define requirements and constraints, developing technologies to meet future engine goals, and conducting trade studies to define the best pre-TG3 module design. In this role you will: Essential Responsibilities - Execute the analysis, design and integration of assigned airfoils, stator components, and rotor components that meet GE design practices and program technical requirements - Collaborate with customers and Revenue Sharing Participants (RSPs), where applicable, to achieve the best design solution - Develop technology roadmaps and mature new technologies that are essential to the successful implementation of the design to meet all commitments to the customer - Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project - Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures - Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments - Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues - Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews - Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and / or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics from an accredited college or university - Minimum 3 years of experience in an Engineering position Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Desired Characteristics - Master's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college - Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems - Solid oral and written communication skills - Strong interpersonal and leadership skills - PC proficiency and familiarity with Ansys and Unigraphics - High Pressure Turbine (HPT) or LPT design experience related to mechanical, aero or aeromechanics design Why join one great company when you can join many?
