Lead Developer – Corporate Actuarial Team recruitment
Job Description
- Design, development and implementation of business applications using and integrating various technologies
- Developing requirements and helping define technical architecture
- Hands on analysis of business developed SQL, MS Access, MS Excel tools (some of which interface to various internal and vendor applications) to understand data, data movement and calculations in order to recommend process technical improvements
- Providing application support along with other production support activities
- Providing time estimates, project plans and reporting
Desired Skills Experience
- 10+ years of overall software development experience with at least 6 years of design, development and deployment of data intensive processing and business intelligence solutions
- Superior skills in SQL and data design for large data volumes
- Significant experience with Informatica and SSIS for moving and translating data efficiently.- Significant experience with business intelligence suites, Cognos preferred. Experience should include updating and managing the framework and meta data models
- Able to quickly learn technologies to achieve business solution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with complex modeling or financial applications for actuarial analysis strongly preferred
- Experience working with actuarial systems preferred
- Experience working with offshore developers preferred
