Lead Expert Sales Analytics

Charlotte, NC or New York, NY

The Sales Data Analytics Lead Expert is responsible for the data collection, analysis, interpretation and communication of Third Party Mutual Fund sales information to allow the Asset Management Business Development team to make the most informed business decisions on sales strategies. This position will develop, validate and generate analytics based on in-depth understanding of Mutual Fund Wholesale/Intermediary business and the availability product, market and competitor data on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis as well as ad-hoc requests. The Analyst will also provide additional support as required to generate and produce standard monthly Sales reports.

Qualifications

The role requires business acumen, top-tier analytical and problem-solving skills and a collaborative partnering style in addition to strong verbal communications and experience with executive presentations. The Lead Expert is responsible for proactively providing insights to the Business Development team based on monthly tracking and analysis of operational data. The Lead Expert will be an integral part of the team responsible for the successful growth and profitability of our sales efforts.

· 5-7 years' experience as a sales or marketing analyst in Mutual Fund products for a top-tier Asset Management, Investment Management, or Mutual Fund firm required

· Bachelor Degree, preference for Finance, Information Technology and or mathematical/statistics disciplines required

· Technical Skills: Proficiency with data query and compilation software in order to translate raw data into usable reports (Excel, SQL, etc.) required

· Knowledge and familiarity with some or all of the following industry software and tools for sales data:

o Access Data SalesVision, Market Metrics, Coates Analytics, Meridian IQ, MMD, Angoss, Lattice, etc.

· Knowledge and familiarity with SalesForce.com preferred

· Knowledge and familiarity with business intelligence and reporting software (Oracle BI, SAS, Tableau, etc.)

· Detail-oriented, well-organized, able to manage multiple priorities and tasks at once

· Strong analytical and data manipulation skills

· Good verbal and written communication skills

· High initiative, strong follow-through skills
