An opportunity has arisen for a Lead Engineer to work within the Wing Pylon Centre of Excellence on A350 XWB. This role is to be based on the Filton site (Bristol), UK.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading stress activities for defined certification work packages. The role will be based within an integrated project team and it will include the technical management of supply chain activities. In this role, you will be accountable to Senior Lead Static Stress.

 

As the successful candidate your principle activities will include:-

 

·         Ensuring structural integrity for your direct area of responsibility, including  providing technical leadership

·         Technical management of suppliers

·         Carrying out stress analysis

·         Reporting and escalating critical technical issues

·         Project management of tasks, as and when required

·         Management of interfaces with adjacent work packages or sub-assemblies

 

As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate the following skills:-

 

·         Degree in Engineering

·         Experience working as a Stress Engineer within the aircraft industry

·         A proactive attitude and the ability to work in a very dynamic environment

·         A good understanding of aircraft production methods and processes

·         The ability to work well within a multifunctional / transnational team environment

·         Good leadership skills

·         Having stress signatory status would be beneficial
