Lead Fertility Nurse
I am looking to recruit a Lead Fertility Nurse / IVF Nurse for a service in Warrington that service provides patients from all over the world with outstanding care in women’s health, fertility treatment, genetics and day surgery.
As the Lead Fertility Nurse / IVF Nurse you will Recruit, retain and motivate the nursing teams within the service. It is essential that you would take the lead in supporting patients up to their arrival at the clinic and liaising closely with the team there to ensure that they receive the highest possible standards of clinical quality.:
Qualifications and Experience
• Fully qualified trained nurse with a minimum of 3 years post registration experience in the field of fertility and assisted conception, and Member of Royal College of Nursing (RCN) and British Fertility Society (BFS)
• Conversant with the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) Code of Practice and other regulatory bodies policies and quality standards
• Extensive experience of working within robust quality and risk management systems
• Supportive management style, empathetic manner in dealing with patients, setting a example by offering exceptional patient care
• Able to respond quickly and calmly to problems and to take a proactive approach to solving them
• Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing support to patients and colleagues across all functions and roles
• Able to perform transvaginal and transabdominal ultrasound scans
Responsibilities and Objectives
• Lead the day-to-day smooth management of clinic based activities, supervising the activities of the nursing team
• Agree the clinical staffing rota across all clinics within agreed ratios
• Recruit, retain and motivate an appropriately skilled specialist nursing team
• Support the multidisciplinary team to provide fertility and satellite assisted conception services in the available clinical sites across the North West, and
• Take an active role in maintaining all appropriate governance standards
• Liaise with other specialists and healthcare practitioners as necessary
• Assist with the continuing development of evidence-based clinical protocols
• Participate in a weekly on-call rota (1:3)
