Responsibilities
Lead Financial Data Analyst

Role:
Individual will be responsible for spreading and making accounting adjustments to financial statement data used by analysts in the Corporate Finance Group and clients.

Responsibilities:
-Serve as the accounting lead/expert for a small group of 3-4 Financial Data Analysts.
-Responsible for data timeliness of team by analyzing the timeliness tracker report and ensuring timeliness goals are met.
-Manage the data population and accuracy of rating methodology factors for the team's portfolio.
-Conduct quality assurance of each team member's work by periodically checking the accuracy of financial data.
-Manage training of outsourced resources, monitoring frequent data entry errors and organizing calls and training materials to reduce the recurrence of errors.
-Help manage team utilization, especially during non peak filing periods, to ensure the team is leveraged and providing support across the Corporate Finance Group (e.g. assisting with special projects and initiatives).
-Compile financial data for industrial companies using annual reports, 10-Ks, 10-Qs and other sources.
-Interact with analysts within the Corporate Finance Group with regards to financial statistics needed for their analysis and publications and Credit Policy to address data questions.

Qualifications:
-B.S. in Accounting, Finance or Economics
-Minimum 1 year experience in Accounting or Finance with understanding of financial statements.
-Strong knowledge of Excel preferred.
-Individual must display initiative and the ability to work independently.
-Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are also a must.
