315 FORMULATION SCIENTIST

Formulation Scientist in the Pharmaceutical industry.


REPONSIBILITIES

·     Conducting laboratory experiments in the formulation of injectable drugs

·     Designing, characterizing, and optimizing drug-containing formulations to support early-stage technical development plus preclinical and early-stage clinical trials

·     Conduct feasibility studies for new prospective branded drugs

·     Designing and executing statistically based studies with pharmaceutical excipients to meet desired goals

·     Conducting studies to evaluate the physical form of the drug, formulation component interactions, solubility, stability, degradation pathways, and final packaging-container compatibility of products

·     Working closely with analytical groups to develop stability assays

·     Providing specialized advice to resolve complex technical issues

·     Working closely with cross-functional groups, including analytical, regulatory, non-clinical, and process development

·     Collaborating with external manufacturing facilities for drug production

·     Developing/generating technical documents to support FDA submissions

 

REQUIREMENTS:

·     PhD in pharmaceutics, biochemistry, chemistry, or related field (Substituted for a Master’s degree in a related field and equivalent experience)

·     Industrial experience in formulation development, pharmaceutics, pharmacy, and/or drug-related product development

·     Knowledge or previous experience with the CMC section for regulatory filings

·     Knowledge of and experience with Good Manufacturing Practices and ISO standards

·     Background in statistical analysis

·     Good communications skills (written and oral)

·     Self-motivated and technically driven

·     Strong work ethic

·     Strong problem-solving ability

·     Ability to work well both individually and in a team environment
