The Lead Generation Representative is responsible for identifying potential customers, determining customer needs, establishing business relationships, recommending and supporting solutions to customer problems, answering questions from the customer, and providing Customer lead to appropriate Sales Manager in a specified territory/market. The objective of the position is to understand and relate the fundamentals of product and industry information to the customer and generate new customer leads. The Lead Generation Specialist will perform the accountabilities detailed below and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for finding, generating and qualifying new customers
- Utilizing our sales force automation system, track prospected customer, sales and related activities
- Proactively call upon customer base and develop incremental business opportunities by suggesting additional Datacard products and services
- Call on perspective customers, provide technical and administrative product information while establishing a professional and ethical Datacard business relationship
- Manage sales opportunities generated to handoff, to ensure Sales Account Manager is properly aware and prepared
- Ensure partnership/alignment into customer segment with Sales Account Manager to have strategic partnership and manage key projects to help meet revenue goals utilizing sales force automation tool
- Provide insight to Sales Account Manager and Marketing on business opportunities within specified territory
- Inform sales of any urgent issues that relate to market strategy
- Attends relevant internal and/or external training programs to keep abreast of changes in Datacard product related technologies
- Knowledge of, and continued education on:
- Datacard products and services applications and capabilities
- Assigned market(s).
- Customer organization/procedure/needs
- Competitive issues in assigned market(s)
- Participation with sales and business units in account planning and development
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business, Marketing or Communications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Sales (Inside or Outside)
- Experience working with sales force automation systems/tools for input and tracking
- Proven written and verbal communications skills
- Proficient with MS products: Excel, Power Point, Outlook
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CRM on Demand
- Experience working with Oracle eBusiness Suite
