Lead IT Application Support Analyst for their Front Office eFX recruitment

Docklands based Investment Bank seek a Lead IT Application Support Analyst for their Front Office eFX desk. The applications provide trading, pricing, benchmarking, trading API, straight through processing and order management functionality. The team provides second line production support for the eFX Risk Sales and Client Service Teams Globally. You will have proven Application Support experience in an Investment banking / IT environment with exposure to incident management, change, problem or release procedures. With experience of working with and supporting FX trading platforms, market data and electronic trading portals e.g. Currenex, FXAll, 360t. You will have an excellent understanding of IT infrastructure, networking and connectivity - SuSE and RedHat Linux, Solaris; Shell scripting, Networking concepts, Monitoring tools, Sybase / Oracle, FX and MM eCommerce Platforms. The Senior Lead Technical Specialist acts as a subject matter expert and applies a high level of expertise, through business/technical consultancy and hands-on project work, focussing on service quality, problem and recovery management, platform availability and identifying risks. You will be responsible for working to resolve problems and incidents of varying complexity to enable services to continue to run and deliver service effectively by eradicating recurrences with the minimum disruption to the business. Maintaining an excellent relationship with the eFX business by providing expert advice and precise updates on technical issues relating to the eFX platform. Share expertise with less experienced team members, providing coaching as appropriate. Representing eFX IT at forums including Implementation Reviews and at vendor meetings. Participate in the production of high quality management information reporting for senior and executive management
