My client is a leading European system integrator and provider of innovative supply chain, identification and mobility solutions and services. Due to expansion they have a truly excellent opportunity for currently seek a talented Lead Java Analyst Developer to develop voice related software and to manage and give direction to the voice development team.
Solutions consist of voice middleware and direct voice applications. The former are implemented using Java / J2EE based technologies. Solutions always make use of mobile computers with supporting PC based applications.
Key Responsibilities include;
Design and develop high-quality software solutions for release, provide line management with an accurate picture of the current state of ongoing development and estimates. To provide internal technical support to the sales and technical team as required, this may include preparation of demonstration software and configuring demonstration hardware, provide internal or external consultancy for proposed software solutions,to provide on-site installations or testing, recommend new development tools, technologies, training or techniques of relevance to future work.
To suggest and document ideas for solution enhancements
Essential attributes;
Expert in Java application development. Strong on server side Java, understanding of UML and design patterns, experience with Integration with Enterprise applications, experience with GUI building standalone and web interfaces, JDBC and persistence frameworks e.g. Hibernate
RDBMS experience with for example: Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, JEE application Server experience is a plus JBOSS, IBM Websphere, etc, Sun Certifications an advantage.
